You are in: Controls Pool and SpaPentair → IntelliTouch

There is an IntelliTouch Control system for every application—pool, spa, pool and spa combinations, and pools with separate spas. With the ability to control from five to up to forty completely separate functions, backyard automation is now within your reach with Pentair’s IntelliTouch. Right now you’re probably thinking, “Wow, if it can do all of that, it must be a bear to operate”. Nothing could be farther from the truth. And that is IntelliTouch is so different than the other automation systems on the market.

Pentair not only designed the IntelliTouch to make pool and spa operation convenient, they also designed it to be easy for you. Step-by-step instructions on the controller make it a breeze to set up and operate. After all, having a pool is supposed to relaxing right? Having to memorize complicated operating sequences and having to remember to turn this or that on and off doesn’t sound very relaxing.

So now you’re thinking “Gosh, that does sound nice. If it could only save me some money too”. Well guess what, with IntelliTouch’s ability to run equipment at different times of the day, it DOES save you money. How? By running equipment during off-peak times, or programming several shorter filtration periods instead of having just one really long one. It remembers to turn landscape and pool lights when they are no longer needed. No wasted electricity usage there. Also, when you run equipment only when it is needed, you reduce the change of mechanical failures which reduces the chances of incurring a repair bill. And, Pentair IntelliTouch can even control those very cost effective variable speed pumps as well solar heating systems. Speaking of repair bills, IntelliTouch has a built-in sensor that turns your pump or pumps, off if freezing conditions are present. If you have a pressure-side cleaner that requires a booster pump to run, an automatic pool cleaner lock-out feature prevents the pump from coming on without a water feed when your system is in spa mode. If any problems do arise, IntelliTouch alerts you if service it needed.

The basic IntelliTouch system is comprised of three components. First is the power center, which is installed at the equipment pad and houses all of the necessary circuitry. Second is something that Pentair calls a personality kit. This component is chosen based on the type of equipment you have (pool only, spa only, pool/spa combo, separate pool and spa etc) and then number of functions that you want to automate. The last component and the one you see the most of, not to mention the coolest, is the controller. Chose from wall-mounted units, MobileTouch® Wireless Controllers, Pentair’s new ScreenLogic® Digital Tablet, In-wall Touch Screens, Pocket PCs, or Standard PC interfaces. See, very cool.

Has Pentair thought of everything with the IntelliTouch. I don’t know but they sure have thought of enough to make owning and operating your pool a lot more enjoyable and worry-free.
